Do I pay a deposit for my move?

We do require a small deposit on all moves. This deposit puts you on the books and ensures that your day and time is yours. Remember, your deposit goes towards the overall cost of the move.

When do I pay?

Payment is not due until the job is complete. All jobs run off of a timer. Once the job is complete the timer stops and then we give you an accurate cost.

What is the travel or trip fee?

This is a flat fee that helps covers costs such as fuel, workers, truck maintenance and the time the truck stays empty such as to and from your location.

How much should I leave for the tip?

As with other service industries, you may wish to thank your movers by offering a gratuity if they do a wonderful job. Keep in mind that gratuity is not expected but is certainly appreciated. On average, our crews typically receive tips that are around 10% to 15% of the final bill. Of course, if your movers were super duper awesome you can leave more if you like. Ultimately it is up to you.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We take credit cards, Zelle, Venmo or cash. Visa, MasterCard, Discovery, American Express

How far in advance do I need to book my move?

That definitely depends on the time of year. In our busy season our calendar fills up quickly. However, especially if you have an exact date in mind, it is always best to book you move as early as you can to ensure availability. 

What size truck do you use?

We use a 26' truck to make sure we have plenty of room to get you moved over.

Do you bring tools?

Yes. We bring tools to disassemble beds, table legs, etc. Please keep in mind that it is not possible to bring every single tool for every piece of furniture, so if a special tool is needed you will have to be responsible for providing that specific tool. However, our tool bag runs pretty deep and we very rarely run into a problem.

Will you disconnect and reconnect my appliances?

We are able to disconnect your appliances such as your washer, dryer or refrigerator. However, please keep in mind that we are not professional plumbers.Thus, if you request the service, we will ask that you sign a waiver releasing us of any liability associated with disconnecting or reconnecting water lines and exhaust hoses.

What should I expect when the movers arrive?

Expect your movers to arrive on time. Of course if an unexpected problem we will make sure to communicate that to you asap. But typically arrival time will be 5-10 minutes before your scheduled move time. Also, our standard procedure is to message an ETA as we leave our premises. 

Can I leave the clothes in the dressers?

We do ask that all clothing and items be removed from dressers and or nightstands. This especially helps if there are stairs involved or in situations where the furniture has to be turned upside down. 

Should I empty the refrigerator ?

Yes, please remove all food items and container prior to moving the refrigerator. This will ensure that shelving, glass items and interior of the refrigerator break or gets damaged. The refrigerator is usually the last item to be loaded and first to come off the truck to reduce food items that have to be packed in coolers perish. 

Can I help the movers?

We don't mind if our customers want to help, however, please keep in mind that our movers have a system that creates a work flow so when our customers try to help it may slow down the process. Also, since no one is allowed on the truck except the movers, your help would be limited to bringing smaller items up to the truck only. Remember, we know you as the one that is relocating has a lot to do so just letting us help you is probably the best avenue.
